Photo Contest: Dumbass

"I was fishing at G.B.'s lake in Smyrna GA, just outside Atlanta. I threw a plastic pumpkin shakey craw, shook it around for a few seconds and "BANG", DUMBASS on." - Aaron Thornburg with his 8lb. 6 oz. Dumbass.

Fishboy Photo Contest: "Reel Chicks"

"Reel Chicks Like Big Rods" Squared - by Robin R. Kotz

Robin writes:

"This photo was taken in Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota in January of 2009. I, Robin, am on the right, and RaeLynn is on the left. We purchased the shirts for our "team", we were fishing against the men...And yes, we won! (by one fish, but who's counting anyway?) We wore the shirts out to the bars that evening, and they were a huge hit! This picture was actually taken at the first bar in Williams, Minnesota. Everyone was asking where we got the t-shirts. Of course, we said "fishboy.com" (and even wrote it down for a couple people)... It was one of the funnest nights we have had. Thanks to the t-shirts we got an extraordinary amount of attention. So thank you for the awesome t-shirts!"

Thanks for the great entry Robin!

Photo Contest Entry: "Fish Control My Brain" - Nicaragua

"Fish Control My Brain" - San Jorge, Rivas, Nicaragua
Photo by Cindi Pearlman of New Mexico

How did a Fishboy t-shirt end up in Nicaragua? Cindy explains "the Fishboy t-shirt was a birthday present for Brian (an avid fly fisherman)-- we went to Nicaragua on a vacation and were in San Jorge before taking a ferry across the lake to Ometepe island -- in the photo Brian was watching the local fishing operation -- women cleaning fish, boats coming in with the catch."

Fishboy pleased to announce the King Ken Mini Series! Designed by famed illustrator and Designer Toy pioneer James Jarvis, the King Ken mini series features a collection of new four-inch versions of his popular King Ken character in six special color variants. The Mini King Ken series debuts worldwide on November 22, 2008!

James Jarvis needs no introduction to Art Toy fans. Born and raised in South London, he is widely considered one of the pioneers of the modern "designer toy" phenomenon. Jarvis has been designing original vinyl figures for over a decade, beginning with the now-iconic Martin vinyl figure for UK street fashion brand Silas & Maria in 1998 and continuing through his own company, Amos Toys. In 2003, Amos released the original King Ken figure as a 12-inch limited edition vinyl figure. An instant classic, the character was re-released in a series of limited edition color variants, each as popular as the next. King Ken next appeared in Vortigern's Machine and the Great Sage of Wisdom, a comic novel created in 2006 by Jarvis and Amos co-founder Russell Waterman. This exposure has established King Ken as one of the most popular and recognizable characters in Jarvis' potato-headed universe.

The King Ken series is packaged in a "mystery box" assortment, featuring five main colors - two from the original 12-inch collecctibles and three original colors - plus one elusive "chase" figure. The Assortment ratio is as follows:
* Gray 1:4
* Orange 1:4
* Purple 1:6
* Blue 1:6
* Green 1:8 Chase Figure 1:24
